Lion tracking in Uganda can be life-changing. A trek under the stars and craters of the moon in search of wild lions is both thrilling and humbling. It can make you realize how much you have taken for granted, how at no other time did you fully and truly feel alive, except perhaps when you were in the natural world. Queen Elizabeth National Park is in the Western Region of Uganda and is known for its tree-climbing lions. The Ishasha sector is home to a good number of tree-climbing lions as well as other antelopes, buffalo, elephants and leopards. It is considered safe to climb a tree while a lion is chasing you. But be careful while you are in the Ishasha sector because this is the home of tree-climbing lions. The true danger of climbing trees in the Ishasha sector of the park is that you put yourself in the path of a lion. But no worries, this activity is done in the comfort of your 4×4. Of all the safari destinations in East Africa, Queen Elizabeth National Park is consistently ranked as one of the best.
