Itinerary

Day 1: Leave for Jinja

We will collect and transfer you from your hotel to your first night located in Jinja the source of the Nile River. Along the way, you will come across Mabira forest one of the last remaining rain forests in Uganda covering 300 square kilometers.
Get your jungle instincts up as we go for a forest walk through the pristine forest cover. Feel the breeze in the forest as you swing along zip lines stretching at least 87 meters across the river suspended between two 40 meter trees. We later go for a relaxed boat cruise to prepare you for a good night sleep.

Day 2:

After breakfast, explore the many panoramic views Jinja city has to offer as you go for White water rafting. Join thousands that have rafted these waters of the Nile safely before like Prince Williams. The Nile River is home to some of the world's finest grade 5 white water rafting.
After a day of activity, sit back and enjoy a peaceful evening.

Day 3: Jinja - Sipi Falls

Time to leave Jinja for Sipi falls in Kapchorwa located in the eastern part of Uganda on the edges of Mount Elgon.
Sipi falls is a series of three water falls that lie on the edge of Mount Elgon national park. Hikes around the falls offer stunning views of the Karamoja plains, Lake Kyoga and the slopes of Mount Elgon. Part of your activities today is abseiling on one of the Sipi waterfalls that is 100m deep. You will later check in at Sipi river lodge your home for the next two nights.

Day 4:

If working out is your idea of fun then join in for a walk to finish the two water falls of Sipi with breathtaking views around the slopes of the mountain. After a day of activity, sit back and enjoy a peaceful coffee tour.
Sipi falls area is particularly famous for locally grown Bugisu Arabica coffee and locals offer great coffee tours. See first-hand the steps coffee goes through to reach your hot cup of coffee.
Later in the evening join in for a sundowner as the beauty of the night star creeps in.

Day 5:

Today is the beginning of your wildlife sightings as we head to Moroto via Pian Upe game reserve. Pian Upe game reserve is the second largest conservation area in Uganda covered by undisturbed grassland and wooded grassland. Possible sightings in Pian Upe include but not limited to jackals, civets, spotted hyenas, leopards and the Ugandan kob. Your 4WD tour takes you for a bumpy ride to the karamojong region. The Karamojong are nomadic agro-pastoralists well known for their resistance to civilization. They have through generations maintained their ancestral cultural heritage and customs dating back to thousands of years. This region has great history and is rich in culture. Feel at home as you go for a cultural tour. Later, enjoy the show from the luxury of your lodge in your safari lodge as the sunset lights up the sky and sleep tight for the adventures ahead of you tomorrow.

Day 6:

After an early morning breakfast, we leave for Kidepo valley national park.
Kidepo valley national park is apparently the most isolated national park in Uganda but still stands out to be one of the best places one should visit.
Named by CNN to be one of the best destinations in Africa, Kidepo Valley National Park has the largest number of buffalos. This will be your home for the next two days. Along the way, you can see the stunning landscapes as they stretch as far as the eye can see. With the rest of your free afternoon you will take part in an experiential game drive in the afternoon/evening. Tonight, enjoy dinner at your hotel.

There is a lot to see today, you will take a rest in your lodge and we continue tomorrow.

Day 7:

We wake up today to continue from where we left off yesterday. This morning you have some free time to take a nature walk around the game park and enjoy beautiful sceneries. Later in the afternoon head for a game drive
Sightings:
Biggest number of buffalos in Uganda, lions, elephants, cheetahs, antelopes, zebras, giraffes.

Day 8:

Enjoy a leisurely morning as you travel to see Uganda’s most successful sanctuary - Ziwa rhino sanctuary. This is the only location in Uganda, where rhinos can be observed in their natural habitat. You will see the story of success as Ziwa rhino sanctuary has been one of the few success case studies in Africa. After spending some good time with the second-largest land mammal, you will check in your lodge for a quite night.

Day 9:

Depart Ziwa rhino sanctuary in awe of what you have experienced so far. Set off to Murchison Falls National Park for a two night stay at your safari lodge. This is Uganda's largest national park measuring approximately 3,893 square kilometres. Also known as the Kabalega National Park, the Murchison Falls National Park is popularly known for having the world’s most powerful waterfall.
Start with top of the falls hike and listen as the longest river in the world squeezes through a 7-meter gap and then drops down 45 meters.
Later you can watch wildlife during night game drive.

Day 10:

This morning you have some free time to head out for a morning game drive. You can see the stunning open grassland scenery perfectly reflected around you. You may later want to journey out for a boat cruise to get close to hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffalos. You will have possible sightings of a variety of bird species, monkeys and baboons.

Day 11:

Set off from Murchison Falls National Park and head to Kibale forest national park for two nights. Incredible photo scenes meet the eye as tea plantations are aligned along the road. Your destination today is a tropical rainforest with at least 351 tree species that have been recorded; some trees rise to over 55m and are over 200 years old.
Relax as you go for the top of the world hike and fall in love with the panoramic views of the mountains and lakes.

Day 12:

Kibale Forest National Park is one of Africa’s foremost research sites. While many researchers focus on the chimpanzees and other primates found in the park, others are investigating Kibale’s ecosystems, wild pigs and fish species, among other topics.
Today will be spectacular as you go for a walk to track wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Chimpanzees are primates that share 90% of their DNA with human beings. Uganda in total has about 4950 chimpanzees and Kibale National Park holds about 1500 chimpanzees.
We shall have possible sightings of the red-tailed monkeys, black and white Columbus monkeys as we go through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The Bigodi is a paradise for bird watchers for it is The “Home of the Great Blue Turaco” and shelters over 200 species of birds including Hornbills, Turacos, Parrots, Cranes, Kingfishers and many more. Actually skilled birders can spot up to fifty new species on a bird list.

Day 13:

Today we depart Kibale National Park and head to Rwenzori National Park along the way we visit Semuliki National Park.
It is one of those days that are fully packed with great sightings. You will get deep into the forest for a nature walk as you head to see the hot springs walking along a board that separates you from the hot springs beneath you.

Day 14:

The Rwenzoris is a sight of marvel, christened as the "mountains of the moon" by the Alexandrine geographer Ptolemy in AD 150 has been recognized as a world heritage site.
Wake up early morning for a one day hike that is relatively easy as you climb steadily through the montane forest with tall trees populated with thick undergrowth and a multitude of different species of birds and primates. You may be lucky and see a troupe of black and white Columbus monkeys as they swing through the trees.
Listen to the tweeting of different bird species in the forest that has been left un-touched since inception. You will see evidence of the shy bush pigs digging for roots in the undergrowth and if you are lucky you might see one or two.

Later in the afternoon, we shall depart to Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 15:

Queen Elizabeth national park is known for its abundant wildlife, including African elephant, African buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard, spotted hyena, and lions.
A day of discovery lies ahead as your 4WD tour takes you for a bumpy ride around the park’s must-see experiential lion tracking after a great breakfast.
Later in the afternoon join in for a boat cruise on the kazinga channel its banks lined with hippos, buffalo and elephants.
You still have an optional evening game-drive.

Day 16:

Queen Elizabeth national park is divided in different sectors, today you will be transferred to the southern part of the park called the Ishasha sector.
The ishasha sector is famous because of the tree climbing lions. It is largely dominated by candelabra trees with big branches that allow lions to hang up there. Ishasha is one of only two places in Africa where you can see tree-climbing lions and the only place in Africa where climbing lions are regularly seen.
Even though lions can be found in other national parks in Uganda, this is the only place park where you will see lions climbing trees. If you are lucky, this is one in a life time experience you will not forget.
Later enjoy an evening game drive for a glimpse of various game in the vast savannah.

Day 17:

Today we shall depart ishasha to bwindi impenetrable national park for a glimpse of the mighty gorillas.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a large primeval forest located in south-western Uganda in the Kanungu District.
The park is a sanctuary for Columbus monkeys, chimpanzees, and many birds such as hornbills and turacos. It is most notable for the 400 Bwindi gorillas, half of the world's population of the endangered mountain gorillas.
Check in and relax, you have this day to yourself as you prepare for the big day tomorrow.

Day 18:

After an early morning breakfast, drive to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park rangers about what to do and not to do while in the heavily forested, rugged mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, also you will be divided in group of 8. After continue and start off gorilla trekking these gentle giants as directed by the rangers.
Today is one of those days where you will want to have your camera battery charged, and ready to go as you head out deep into the jungle for the chance to see Mountain Gorillas.
This activity is unpredictable, can take 2 hours or even up to 8 hours since its dependent on the location and movement of the gorillas.
On meeting the gorillas you will spend one hour with them as you take photos.
After you have had a time with the silver backs, you will transfer to Mgahinga NP and check in for a relaxed evening for another big day tomorrow.

Day 19:

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is located in the Virunga Mountains and encompasses three inactive volcanoes, namely Mount Muhabura, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Sabyinyo. The park is part of the larger Virunga Conservation area that spreads over the three countries that is Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park and the southern sector of Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is the only destination where Silver meets Gold. The park protects both mountain gorillas and golden monkeys.
Your main activity today is tracking the golden monkeys.
Due to the gradual destruction of their habitat and recent wars in their limited habitat, the golden monkey is listed as endangered. You will trek at an altitude of around 2,500 meters and feel the cold breeze blowing past you. Trekking doesn't take more than 3 hours because the golden monkeys live in the lower areas.
After you encounter a golden monkey family, you will be given one hour to spend with them in the wild habitat.
We later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi to get a good night sleep.

Day 20:

Lake Bunyonyi is believed to be the second deepest lake in Africa and the deepest lake in Uganda with its deepest end approximately 900m. Lake Bunyonyi that is about 25km long and 7 km wide convering an area of 61 square kilometers has a total of 29 islands.
Today you have the freedom to enjoy Lake Bunyonyi in your own style with optional activities to choose from. Bird lovers may headout for bird watching. With over 200 bird species, Lake Bunyonyi makes it a perfect ideal for many bird enthusiasts.
Take in the landscape of rolling hills, surrounding mountain peaks and different islands.
After a day of activity, sit back and enjoy a peaceful evening cruise across the Lake with optional activities like swimming in the lake, canoeing.
Tonight, enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 21

Enjoy a quiet start to the day, after experiencing a hearty breakfast we depart travelling north via kabale to lake Mburo national park.
Though the smallest national park in Uganda, lake Mburo national park is a compact gem underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years.
With 13 other lakes in the area, Lake Mburo forms part of a 50km-long wetland system linked by a swamp. Five of these lakes lie within the park’s borders. There is a lot more for the eye. It is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck.
After the game drive relax to a quite night.

Day 22:

Today you have the freedom to enjoy the landscape and savannah in your own style with optional activities to choose from. You might want to take an early morning walk in the savanna, with optional activity of bike riding and horse riding.
Your wonderful holiday concludes as we leave the park and transferred to your hotel or airport to end trip.
